Privacy policy
What this site does and does not collect, written to match how it actually behaves.
1. Who is responsible for your personal information
This website, polarisnetwork.online, is operated by D.J. TECH PRAHA s.r.o. That company is the entity responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

The site is published for readers in Australia, and this policy is written against the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Because D.J. TECH PRAHA s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, section 11 sets out the additional position under the General Data Protection Regulation.
2. What is collected
There are three categories, and there are no others.
a. Nothing through the site itself
This website has no forms, no input fields, no newsletter sign-up, no account, no quiz and no chat widget. There is nothing on any page through which you can submit information, and nothing is collected from you as you read. The site sets no cookies of its own and permits no third party to set cookies through it. It uses no analytics, no advertising tags, no conversion pixels, no A/B testing tools, no social embeds and no scripts loaded from any other company's servers. It writes nothing to localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB, and performs no browser fingerprinting. The cookie policy covers this in more detail.
b. Ordinary server logs kept by the hosting provider
Like any website, this one is served by a hosting provider whose web server records each request. Those records contain your IP address, the address of the page requested, the date and time, the HTTP status returned, and the browser user-agent string your browser sends. An IP address can constitute personal information, which is why it is described here.
c. Whatever you choose to put in an email
If you write to info@polarisnetwork.online, the publisher receives your email address, your name if you give it, and the contents of your message. Nothing obliges you to include anything beyond what is needed to answer you, and you should not send passwords, payment card details or identity documents.
3. Why each category is held, and on what basis
Server logs are kept so the site can be served reliably, so faults can be diagnosed, and so attacks such as automated abuse can be identified and blocked. The basis is the legitimate interest of the publisher in operating and securing its own website. These records are not used to build a profile of you, are not analysed for marketing, and are not combined with anything else.
Email correspondence is held to read and answer your message and to keep a record of what was asked and answered, for example where a correction was requested. The basis is the legitimate interest of the publisher in responding to correspondence it receives.
Nothing on this site is used for direct marketing, and no information is sold, rented, or disclosed to anyone for advertising purposes.
4. How long each category is kept

Where a record must be kept longer because it is relevant to a legal claim or a regulatory request, it is kept only for as long as that purpose requires and is then deleted.
5. Who the information is disclosed to
Two recipients, and no others.
The hosting provider that operates the servers on which this site runs holds the server logs described above on the publisher's behalf. It processes them only to provide and secure the hosting service. The publisher will name the provider on request by email.
The email provider that operates the mailbox for info@polarisnetwork.online holds any message you send, in the same way any mailbox holds email.
No advertising network, analytics company, data broker or social platform receives anything from this site, because no such service is loaded by any page. This site makes no requests to any third-party host at all: it loads no external fonts, no external images, no external scripts and no external stylesheets. Following a link to another website, including a paid link or a link to a government service, takes you to that organisation's site, where that organisation's own privacy policy applies and this one stops.
Cross-border disclosure (APP 8). The publisher is located in the Czech Republic and its hosting and email providers operate servers outside Australia, including in Europe. Personal information covered by this policy — your IP address in a server log, and the contents of any email you send — is therefore disclosed to recipients outside Australia and is stored outside Australia. By using this site or writing to the address above, you should understand that this overseas disclosure occurs, and that overseas recipients may be subject to laws different from the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
6. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and the server is encrypted. Access to the hosting account and to the mailbox is limited to the publisher, protected by unique credentials and multi-factor authentication where the provider supports it. Because the site collects nothing through its pages, there is no database of reader information to lose. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and email in particular should not be treated as a confidential channel.
7. Your rights under the Australian Privacy Principles
You may ask what personal information the publisher holds about you and request a copy of it, and you may ask for information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete to be corrected. Send the request to info@polarisnetwork.online. Requests are answered within 30 days. The publisher may need to ask a question to identify the records concerned; in practice, for a server log entry this means the approximate date and time, since logs are not indexed by name.
If you are not satisfied with how a request or a privacy complaint has been handled, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which publishes the complaint process on its website. You are not required to contact the publisher first, but doing so is usually faster.
8. Data breaches
If a breach of personal information held by the publisher occurs and is likely to result in serious harm to an individual, the publisher will assess it and notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
9. Children
This site is not directed at people under 16, contains no content intended for them, and collects nothing from any reader regardless of age. No age verification is performed because there is nothing to verify against.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page and the effective date at the top is updated. The current version applies from the date shown. If the site ever begins to collect anything it does not collect today — a form, an analytics tool, a cookie of any kind — this policy and the cookie policy will be updated, and any required consent mechanism put in place, before that change goes live and not afterwards.
11. GDPR position
D.J. TECH PRAHA s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the General Data Protection Regulation applies to its processing. The legal basis relied on for both categories described above is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f): operating and securing the publisher's own website, and responding to correspondence. No consent basis is relied on, because the site sets no cookies and uses no tracking technology for which consent would be required.
Where the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, portability of data you provided, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Requests go to info@polarisnetwork.online. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in the publisher's case the Czech authority, or the authority in the country where you live or work. The European Data Protection Board publishes the list of national supervisory authorities and their contact details.
